Policy Officer
Colin Warriner

Colin started at BIVDA in September 2009 as Policy Officer on a one year fixed term contract to assist Doris-Ann in all the public affairs activities in which BIVDA is involved. This will ensure we maximise all the great exposure that diagnostics are getting in the current climate encouraging innovation in healthcare. So to introduce you all to Colin: After graduating from Oxford, where he completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, Colin worked in publishing for a year before making the leap into policy work. He comes to BIVDA from the policy team at NAT (National AIDS Trust), where issues around conception and employment law were two of the primary foci of his research. It was in the HIV sector that he first gained an appreciation of the vital (and daily) importance of in vitro diagnostics. During that time he also worked for an MP in their Westminster office. He is very excited to be working for BIVDA and the diagnostics industry!
