BIVDA’s Procurement Group is open to all members and meets 2 to 3 times a year to receive presentations and to discuss current procurement related issues. Topics covered in 2007 included procurement practices in the NHS, e-business in the NHS, role of NHS Supply Chain, role of CEP, PbR developments, managed service contracts.
We have an informal procurement working party to provide input to the secretariat, as well as a PbR working group that engages closely with the possible development of HRGs for pathology, and the associated issues around tariff development.
