POC Workshop
|
Following the launch of the DTI’s Foresight project on the Detection, Identification and Monitoring of Infectious Diseases, BIVDA will hold a one day workshop to take a fresh look at this area.
The conference will take the audience from the challenges of producing POC diagnostics for the developing world through to sophisticated “mobile phone” type devices linked into global networks.
Distinguished speakers will include Dr Helen Lee, Reader in Medical Biotechnology at the University of Cambridge, Dr Mark Perkins, CSO of Find Diagnostics, Gilbert Wieringa, Associate Director, Laboratory Medicine, Association of Greater Manchester PCTs, Professor Jeff Waage, Imperial College and Professor Will Stewart, Southampton University.
Diagnostic manufactures, researchers, healthcare providers and IT specialists will find this conference of interest and value.
