SMEs and Public Procurement – OGC have launched an inquiry into the barriers small firms face in winning public sector contracts, to make recommendations on the necessary action to reduce these barriers over the next five years and to examine the practicality of setting a goal for SMEs to win 30% of all public sector business.
A Call for Evidence has been launched and businesses, representative organisations and public sector procurers are now being asked to input into this work to ensure that the committee are fully informed of the real issues faced at grass root level and to give businesses and those working in this area the opportunity to shape future policy.
