Technology Strategy Board and Medical Research Council programme to offer SME's and academia access to funding for developing ideas. The funding was announced by David Cameron in the Life sciences strategy in December 2011. This is an excellent opportunity for members to have access to government funding for development of new in vitro diagnostics.

Three different awards are available

Feasibility award - £150k available up to 75% funded

Early Stage award - £2.4m available up to 50% funded

Late stage award - £2.4m available up to 50% funded
