Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics is set to showcase its range of diabetes solutions for Point of Care testing at Diabetes UK’s Annual Professional Conference from 3 - 5 March 2010. This year’s theme is ‘Diabetes: challenges in all ages’ and Siemens will be addressing this on Stand B1 with its spectrum of diagnostic technology.
Among the equipment on display, Siemens will highlight the DCA Vantage™ Analyser, a Point of Care diabetes management unit that delivers clinically proven HbA1c and Albumin-to-Creatinine (A:C) ratio results. Simple and powerful, its data management tools help drive more productive discussions between physicians and patients to improve compliance.
At the stand, Siemens will also be presenting the newly launched CLINITEK Status®+ Analyser for consistent and confident urinalysis testing at the Point of Care. Among its new features are advanced automated checks including tests for humidity exposure, common sample interferences and strip identification for Siemens test strips.
In addition, the CLINITEK Status+ can be combined with a connector platform as the CLINITEK Status® Connect. This supports connectivity to a variety of data management options including RAPIDComm® Point of Care middleware to integrate data directly to Laboratory Information Systems.
Other innovative product offerings at the Siemens stand will include the CLINITEK® Microalbumin 9 Reagent Strips, which offer nine necessary tests, including A:C ratio, for the early detection of kidney disease in patients with diabetes.
“Diabetes affects people of all ages, from children to the elderly and the numbers are rising,” said Catherine Spurgeon, Product Manager Urinalysis at Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics. “Our product range supports the management of diabetes care across the age spectrum, helping to improve efficiency and accuracy of resul |
