The workshop will be focused on Metrological Traceability which is key to ensure that results provided by laboratories lead to good diagnosis & management of patients. However the process by which metrological traceability is achieved & the impact which this has on results and their interpretation (e.g. by changing reference intervals) is not always well understood. This Workshop aims to bring together all the players in the chain of traceability to explain what they see as their roles and those of other, and to kickstart a process to find pragmatic solutions which will allow for better patient care through a good implementation of metrological traceability.
