Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust partners with Siemens to improve pathology services

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has recently entered a Managed Pathology Service (MPS) contract with Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics. The contract includes replacement of analysers with both Siemens and third party equipment within the Biochemistry, Immunology, Haematology, Transfusion and Virology departments at Addenbrooke’s Hospital

Blood gas analysis reaches new heights with Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics technology

The Xtreme Everest 2 team, a leading hypoxia research organisation, has returned from its three month expedition to Mount Everest along with two blood gas analysers from Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics. The team of intensive care doctors, nurses and scientists used the expedition and systems to better understand adaption to hypoxia, a condition which causes a deficiency in oxygen reaching tissues of the body.

EKF HbA1c Analyzer Assessment Success Presented at World Diabetes Congress

Cardiff, UK – 3rd December 2013 – EKF Diagnostics, the global diagnostics business, announces the successful assessment of its Quo-Test and Quo-Lab point-of-care HbA1c analyzers within the College of Medicine, Swansea University. Dr Stephen Luzio, Associate Professor at the University, will give a scientific poster presentation entitled ‘Assessment of two point-of-care analyzers for the determination of HbA1c’ at the World Diabetes Congress – International Diabetes Federation (IDF) 2013, Melbourne, Australia, 2nd to 6th December.
